Inventory management that fits your operation

Know what you have. Know when to order.

The tab nobody updates. The order placed from memory. The clipboard in the truck that's three weeks out of date. Simpentory is one place for all of it, whether your stock lives in a walk-in, a warehouse, a fleet of service trucks, or a back room.

No contract. 30-day money-back guarantee.

From $49/month per storefront, billed annually. $59 month to month.

Here's the thing about most inventory systems.

They were built for big-box retailers with barcodes on everything, or for accountants running month-end reports, or they weren't built at all. Most small and mid-size operations are holding it together with a spreadsheet, a clipboard, and whoever has the best memory on the team.

The problem isn't that you're disorganized. The problem is that the tools most people use weren't designed for businesses where inventory moves between trucks, zones, locations, and storage areas all day long.

The spreadsheet nobody maintains

A heroic effort by whoever built it. Last updated before the last scramble, or before that person left.

The clipboard in the truck

Works fine when the truck is in the lot. When it's in the field and someone back at the shop needs to know what's on it, good luck.

The mental inventory

You know what you have because you know. Until you don't, and you're on the phone with a vendor making an emergency order.

There's a better way.

No contract. From $49/month per storefront.

Three steps, and you're tracking inventory.

Set it up once. Use it every day. The basics don't have to be complicated.

Set up your Storefronts and Zones

Add your locations and name the storage areas, rooms, or vehicles the way your operation is actually laid out. Walk-In Cooler, Truck 3, Receiving Dock, Back Stock Room. Call them whatever makes sense to you.

Zones page showing storage areas named for a real operation

Count your inventory and record every movement

Enter what you have, where it is, and how much. Every adjustment, waste entry, and stock transfer writes a transaction. You always have a record of what happened and when.

Current inventory list showing items, quantities on hand, and PAR levels by zone

Order from vendors when you need it

Create purchase orders from your vendor list, submit them, and mark what comes in when it arrives. Your on-hand counts update automatically. No double entry.

Purchase order detail showing line items and receiving status

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Built for how your operation actually runs. Not how a textbook says it should.

Zone-based inventory

Organize stock by where it actually lives. Every item tracked to its zone so you always know exactly where to look: walk-in, truck, or warehouse shelf.

Purchase orders

From draft to submitted to received, every PO is tracked. Receive partial shipments. On-hand counts update the moment stock comes in.

Vendor management

All your suppliers in one place. Link items to vendors, build POs directly from your vendor list. No more hunting for contact information.

Multi-storefront

Run more than one location. Each Storefront has its own inventory, its own zones, its own team. All under the same account.

Team access

Invite your team with roles that make sense. Staff who need to count can count. Managers who need to order can order. Admins control the setup.

Full activity history

Every count, adjustment, waste entry, and order is logged. You know what happened, when it happened, and who did it. No more mystery discrepancies.

CSV/Excel import

Import your existing spreadsheet. CSV and Excel both work, and the importer reads your column headers for you.

Who uses Simpentory.

Four different operations. Same core problem: inventory that lives somewhere it's hard to see.

Food Service

You run a restaurant. Or two.

Your walk-in, dry storage, and bar all hold inventory that needs to be counted, ordered, and tracked. Right now that lives in a spreadsheet someone built three years ago, or in the head of whoever's been there the longest. Simpentory gives every zone its own inventory list and ties your vendors to your purchase orders.

Home Services

You have trucks, and you need to know what's on them.

Before you dispatch a tech, you want to know they have the part. Right now that means calling the driver or guessing. Simpentory turns each truck into a zone with its own inventory. Your shop and parts room are zones too. You see it all from one screen.

Example Zones
Truck 1Truck 2Shop / WarehouseParts Room
Wholesale

You distribute product and need to know what's where.

What's on the receiving dock, what's staged for delivery, what's available vs. committed: these are different questions that all need answers. Simpentory tracks inventory through every zone in your warehouse, from when it comes in to when it goes out.

Example Zones

Retail

You sell product and don't want surprises at season end.

Dead stock hurts. So does running out of a top SKU mid-season. Simpentory tracks what's in your back room, what's on the floor, what's in seasonal storage, and what you've ordered. No more discovering the real number when it's too late to do anything about it.

Who Simpentory isn't for.

Every tool has an edge where it stops being the right answer. Here's ours, so you find out now instead of thirty days in.

  • Enterprise warehouses with dedicated inventory staff

If someone on payroll does nothing but inventory, you need cycle-count scheduling, demand forecasting, and multi-echelon planning. Buy the tool that has them.

  • Operations that scan every item with a phone camera to count it

There's a UPC field on every item and search matches it, so a handheld scanner works. Camera scanning inside the app doesn't exist yet. If that's how your shelf counts run, wait for us.

  • Teams that need POS or accounting integrations today

Simpentory doesn't talk to Toast, Square, or QuickBooks. If your inventory has to reconcile against sales automatically, this isn't the tool.

If that's you, say so in an email and we'll tell you straight — and point you at something that fits. We'd rather lose the sale than take it and refund it.

The questions people actually ask.

Including the ones where the answer is no.

Does Simpentory support barcode scanning?
Every item has a UPC/barcode field, and item search matches on it — so a USB or Bluetooth scanner that types a code into the search box will pull the item up today. What isn't built yet is camera scanning inside the app for counting a shelf. If barcode-first counting is how your crew works, tell us before you sign up and we'll tell you honestly whether to wait.
What integrations are available?
None today. Simpentory doesn't connect to Toast, Square, Aloha, QuickBooks, or any other POS or accounting system — it doesn't pull sales data in and it doesn't push data back. It's standalone: you count what you have, record what comes in and goes out, and export to CSV whenever the numbers need to go somewhere else. If a live POS connection is a hard requirement, we're not the right tool yet.
Can I use it offline, on a truck?
Not offline, no. Simpentory runs in a browser and needs a connection to save a count. On a phone or tablet it behaves like any web app: fine on cell service, not in a walk-in with no bars or a basement stockroom. Crews that count in dead zones write it down and enter it when they're back in range. Offline counting is on the roadmap, but we're not going to tell you it works before it does.
My spreadsheet is a mess. Will the import choke on it?
Probably not. The importer reads your column headers instead of making you match a template, and when it hits a unit, category, or vendor it hasn't seen before it creates it or asks you — rather than rejecting the whole file over one row. You can also add items by hand if you'd rather start clean.
Who built this?
Jim Mosier, at a software company called MosierData — 40 years of writing software. His wife Angie ran a retail package ship franchise and spent years fighting a POS that drifted out of sync with QuickBooks, with nothing reliable for the inventory part. Members of a local business community had the same complaint about software built for operations their size, so he wrote it. The about page has the whole story, and the person who wrote the code is the one who answers support@simpentory.com.

What you'll never pay for.

Inventory software has a habit of growing fees once your data is inside it. Operators told us about subscriptions that tripled and stock alerts sold back as an add-on. None of that happens here.

  • Per-user fees

The fifth login costs what the first one did: nothing.

  • Onboarding fees

    No 90-day go-live project, because there's no 90-day go-live.

  • Paid add-ons for the basics

Purchase orders, activity history, multi-zone tracking: included.

  • Quiet price creep

At least 30 days' written notice before any price change. It's in the terms.

The only thing that changes your bill is adding storefronts. See the full list.
